Our client is offering a permanent position as Finance Director (m/f/d) for the Nordic Region, based in Norway Oslo, Sweden Stockholm or Denmark Kopenhagen .
Ihre Aufgaben
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and procedures across all Nordic entities.
- Oversee monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review and enhance internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide financial guidance and strategic support to the Nordic Management Team and Regional Financial Controller.
- Coordinate statutory and tax filings, ensuring timely submission in collaboration with external auditors (Ernst & Young).
- Lead the annual budgeting process, aligning financial planning with business objectives.
- Maintain and update internal control documentation in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements.
- Resolve intercompany discrepancies and ensure timely execution of quarterly confirmations.
- Supervise and develop the Nordic Finance Team, including conducting annual performance reviews.
- Support working capital optimization by reducing accounts receivable and work-in-progress.
- Ensure effective treasury management to generate cash dividends for the parent company.
- Respond promptly to financial inquiries from the Atlanta Head Office, ensuring transparency and reliability.
Ihr Qualifikationsprofil
- Holds a university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline, complemented by CPA or CA certification.
- Brings over 10 years of senior-level experience in financial management, ideally with exposure to Big 4 public accounting and US-listed companies.
- Possesses deep expertise in statutory accounting within the Nordic region, including direct and indirect tax practices.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Experienced in managing complex financial processes and leading multiple projects simultaneously.
- Skilled in leveraging IT systems for financial operations and process optimization.
- Offers comprehensive knowledge of treasury management and working capital strategies.
- Communicates effectively through clear reporting and strong interpersonal skills, fostering stakeholder relationships.
- Displays a proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, even under pressure and tight deadlines.
